Chuck Purvis, CEO of Coastal Credit Union, Joins BEST NC Board

July 2017   Cary, NC- BEST NC is proud to announce that Chuck Purvis, CEO of Coastal Credit Union, has been unanimously voted onto the board of directors. He joins other top North Carolina executives who are committed to transforming education by promoting public policy and other critical strategies that will lead to student success in a competitive global economy.

“We are excited to welcome Chuck Purvis to the Board of BEST NC. As the CEO of Coastal, he appreciates the critical importance of improving outcomes in public education at all levels. Chuck is the co-inventor of digital technologies for a financial services company and understands employment opportunities for aspiring young people,” said Chairman of BEST NC, Walter McDowell.

Purvis is a strong leader with over 35 years of experience in senior management positions with credit union organizations. Recently named Business Person of the Year by the Triangle Business Journal, Purvis is known for his ability to be innovative, knowledgeable and a forefront thought leader in a number of financial-oriented businesses.
