Scholarship
Congratulations
to our 2009 Winner of BEST Scholarship Award:
Adrian
G. Richardson(Broughton)
Essay: "What Does It Take?"
Purpose:
To support the educational pursuits of students from the three foundational
high school (Broughton, Enloe, and Sanderson) with monetary awards on
an annual basis.
Criteria
for Scholarship:
Eligibility guidelines that may include: essay, letters of reference,
community service, church involvement, future plans, and other available
resources. Consideration for GPA or financial need remains open for discussion.
Maintenance
of Scholarship Fund:
Occur through annual fund raisers as well as personal and corporate donations.
Goals:
- B.E.S.T.’s
goal is to award the scholarships in May with a goal of $500.00 for
each school.
- Have recipients
“thank” B.E.S.T. organization at the September reunion.
- B.E.S.T.
committee to print Scholarship information on all materials such as
tickets and flyers.
- Recipients
to attend a 2 or 4 year college as long as the school is accredited.
Deadlines:
All applications are due by April 30. Winners will be notified
no later than May 15.

Process
for distribution of funds should the organization dissolve:
If for any reason the B.E.S.T. organization should cease to exist, the
monetary assets of the organization would be distributed to other non-profit
organizations and /or charities as decided by a majority of the committee
members.
